Albert Gustaf Aristides Edelfelt (Porvoo, 21 de julho de 1854 - Porvoo, 18 de agosto de 1905) foi um pintor e ilustrador sueco-finlandês. Albert Edelfelt nasceu em Porvoo, na Finlândia, filho de Carl Albert Edelfelt, arquiteto, e Alexandra Edelfelt, née Brandt. Em 1869 começou seus estudos de arte na Escola de desenho da Sociedade de Arte finlandesa e após ser aprendiz do artista Adolf von Becker de 1871 a 1873, passou por diversas cidades e pintores, o que fez enriqueceu seus conhecimentos. Estudou pintura de história na Antwerp Academy of Art, de 1873 a 1874, antes de tornar-se um aluno de Jean-Léon Gérôme na École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris, de 1874 a 1878.
