Albert Edelfelt né le 21 juillet 1854 à Porvoo où il est mort le 18 août 1905 est un peintre finlandais. Il est l'un des premiers artistes finlandais à étudier à Paris, où il entre dans l'atelier de Jean-Léon Gérôme en 1874. Sous l'influence de son maître, il est d'abord peintre d'histoire, avant de se tourner vers le naturalisme à partir de 1880.
