アレクサンドル・デュマ（Alexandre Dumas、フランス語: [alɛksɑ̃dʁ dymɑ]、生誕時、デュマ・ダヴィ・ド・ラ・パイユトリー（Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie、[dymɑ davi də la pajət(ə)ʁi]）、1802年7月24日 - 1870年12月5日）は、19世紀フランスの小説家、劇作家。 『椿姫』を書いた息子アレクサンドル・デュマ・フィス（小デュマ）と区別して、大デュマ（デュマ・ペール、Dumas, père）と呼ばれる。 1802年7月24日にトマ＝アレクサンドル・ダヴィ・ド・ラ・パイユトリー（トマ＝アレクサンドル・デュマ）と母マリー＝ルイーズ＝エリザベート・ラブーレの子として北フランスエーヌ県ヴィレル・コトレに生まれる。 父デュマは仏領サン＝ドマング（現ハイチ）で、アレクサンドル＝アントワーヌ・ダヴィ・ド・ラ・パイユトリー侯爵と黒人奴隷女性であるマリー＝セゼットの間に生まれた私生児のムラート（混血）で、トマ＝アレクサンドルと名づけられた。 ウィキペディアで詳細を読む
