Roberto d'Altavilla, detto il Guiscardo (in francese antico Guischart, "Volpe, Astuto") e Terror Mundi ("Terrore del Mondo") (Hauteville-la-Guichard, 1015 circa – Cefalonia, 17 luglio 1085), è stato un condottiero normanno. Sesto figlio di Tancredi (conte di Hauteville-la-Guichard) e primo della sua seconda moglie Fresenda (o Fressenda, figlia di Riccardo I di Normandia, detto Riccardo Senza Paura), divenne Conte di Puglia e Calabria alla morte del fratello Umfredo (1057).
