Jacques Chirac (/ʒak ʃiʁak/ ), né le 29 novembre 1932 dans le 5e arrondissement de Paris et mort le 26 septembre 2019 dans le 6e arrondissement de la même ville, est un homme d'État français. Il est Premier ministre du 27 mai 1974 au 25 août 1976 et du 20 mars 1986 au 10 mai 1988, et président de la République française du 17 mai 1995 au 16 mai 2007. Diplômé de Sciences Po et de l'ENA, il rejoint en 1962 le cabinet du Premier ministre, Georges Pompidou. Élu député de la Corrèze, il est plusieurs fois secrétaire d'État et ministre.
