John Michell (Nottinghamshire, 25 de dezembro de 1724 — Yorkshire, 29 de abril de 1793) foi um inglês filósofo naturalista, clérigo e geólogo que trabalhou muitos temas e forneceu intuições pioneiras em uma ampla gama de campos científicos, da astronomia à geologia, óptica e gravitação.
