Sir James Michael "Jimmy" Anderson (born 30 July 1982) is an English cricketer who played for England. He is currently serving as the fast-bowling mentor of the England cricket team, and continues to play for Lancashire. Widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the sport, he holds the record for the most wickets taken by a fast bowler in Test cricket (704) and third most wickets in international cricket (991).
