Ion Gheorghe Duca (Romanian pronunciation: [iˈon ˈduka] ; 20 December 1879 – 29 December 1933) was a Romanian liberal politician, diplomat, and lawyer who briefly served as Prime Minister from November to December 1933. A leading figure in the National Liberal Party, Duca held multiple ministerial roles, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Interior. As Prime Minister, he sought to modernize Romania and strengthen Western alliances but faced severe opposition from the Iron Guard, a revolutionary fascist movement.
