Frederick Francis III, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, was a German prince and the head of the House of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. He was born in Schwerin the son of Frederick Francis II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and his first wife Princess Alexandra of Anhalt-Dessau. His father succeeded as Grand Duke in 1837.
