Inigo Jones (Londen, 15 juli 1573 - aldaar, 21 juni 1652) wordt gezien als de eerste belangrijke architect in Engeland in de vroegmoderne tijd en de eerste die de Vitruviaanse regels van verhoudingen en symmetrie in zijn gebouwen toepaste. Hij was de eerste die de klassieke architectuur van Rome en de Italiaanse Renaissance in Engeland introduceerde. Hij drukte zijn stempel op Londen met zijn ontwerp van afzonderlijke gebouwen, zoals Queen's House, het eerste gebouw in Engeland dat in een puur klassieke stijl is ontworpen.
