Benjamin (Ben) Jonson (Westminster, Londen, ±11 juni 1572 – aldaar, 6 augustus 1637) was een toneelschrijver, dichter en acteur uit de Engelse renaissance. Als tijdgenoot van William Shakespeare is hij vooral bekend om zijn satirische toneelstukken Volpone, The Alchemist, en Bartholomew Fair, die worden beschouwd als zijn beste werken.
