スカルノ（英語: Sukarno,インドネシア語: Soekarno,1901年6月6日 - 1970年6月21日）は、インドネシアの植民地時代（オランダ領東インド時代）から民族主義運動、独立運動において大きな足跡を残した政治家である。独立宣言後、同国の初代大統領となり、雄弁な演説とカリスマ性によって、大衆の民族意識を鼓舞した。1965年の「9月30日事件」によって大統領を失脚した後は不遇の晩年を送ったが、いまなお国民には「ブン・カルノ」（カルノ兄さん）と呼ばれ、国父（建国の父）として敬意をもって愛され続けており、紙幣（最高額面の10万ルピア）に肖像が使われている。ウィキペディアで詳細を読む
