Tiberio Giulio Cesare Augusto (in latino Tiberius Iulius Caesar Augustus; Roma, 16 novembre 42 a.C. – Miseno, 16 marzo 37) è stato il secondo imperatore romano, appartenente alla dinastia giulio-claudia e regnante dal 14 fino alla sua morte nel 37.. Figlio dell'imperatrice Livia Drusilla che lo ebbe precedentemente al matrimonio con Augusto, fu da lui adottato, e quindi riconosciuto come erede, solo negli ultimi anni di vita dell'imperatore. In gioventù Tiberio si distinse per il suo talento militare, conducendo brillantemente numerose campagne lungo i confini settentrionali dell'Impero e in Illirico.
