Papa Pio IX (in latino: Pius PP. IX, nato Giovanni Maria Battista Pietro Pellegrino Isidoro Mastai-Ferretti; Senigallia, 13 maggio 1792 – Roma, 7 febbraio 1878) è stato il 255º vescovo di Roma e papa della Chiesa cattolica dal 1846 al 1878 e 164º e ultimo sovrano dello Stato Pontificio dal 1846 al 1870.
