Rudolf Bultmann, né le 20 août 1884 à Wiefelstede et mort le 30 juillet 1976 à Marbourg, est un théologien allemand de tradition luthérienne. Fils d'un pasteur luthérien, il est devenu professeur d'études néotestamentaires à Marbourg. C'est dans cette université qu'il marqua d'une profonde influence nombre d'étudiants en théologie et en philosophie, parmi lesquels Gerhard Krüger et Hans Jonas.
