Rudolf Hess

Rudolf Walter Richard Hess o Walter Richard Rudolf Hess (en alemán: Rudolf Heß; Alejandría, 26 de abril de 1894-Spandau, Berlín Occidental, 17 de agosto de 1987) fue un militar, político y criminal de guerra alemán, uno de los principales miembros del Partido Nacionalsocialista Obrero Alemán (NSDAP) del Tercer Reich. Nombrado lugarteniente (Stellvertreter des Führers) por Adolf Hitler el 21 de abril de 1933, ocupó ese cargo hasta 1941. El 10 de mayo de 1941 voló en solitario a Escocia en un intento de negociar la paz con el Reino Unido durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Hecho prisionero y finalmente condenado por planificación de una guerra de agresión y por conspiración contra la paz mundial cumplió cadena perpetua hasta su suicidio en 1987. Después de su muerte, la cárcel fue demolida para evitar que se convirtiera en un santuario neonazi.
