Arthur Scherbius (Fráncfort del Meno, 30 de octubre de 1878 - Berlín, 13 de mayo de 1929) fue un ingeniero eléctrico, inventor y pionero alemán que inventó la famosa máquina Enigma de cifrado mecánico. Patentó el invento y luego vendió la máquina bajo la marca "Enigma".
