Paulus Orosius (* um 385; † nach 418) war ein in Hispanien (möglicherweise in Braga in der römischen Provinz Gallaecia) geborener spätantiker Historiker und christlicher Theologe. Er lebte in der Spätphase des Römischen Reichs, reiste um 414 nach Nordafrika und wurde dort Student des Kirchenvaters Augustinus. Er suchte dessen Unterstützung in seinem Kampf gegen den von ihm als christliche Irrlehre betrachteten Priscillianismus. 415 begab er sich nach Palästina und traf dort mit Hieronymus zusammen.
