بريكليس الأثيني (بالإغريقية: Περικλῆς؛ نقحرة: بيريكليس؛ نحو 495-429 ق.م) هو أحد قادة الإغريق العسكريين وسياسيٌ في العصر الأثيني الذهبي. كان من أبرز الأعلام والرجال المؤثرين في السياسة الأثينية القديمة، ما بين زمن الحروب الفارسية الإغريقية والحرب البيلوبونيسية، وعدّه ثوقيديدس، وهو مؤرخٌ معاصرٌ له: «مُواطن أثينا الأول». عَمد بريكليس تحويلَ الحلف الدّيلي إلى إمبراطوريةٍ أثينيّةٍ وقاد شعبه في العامين الأوّلين للحرب البيلوبونيسية. واشتُهرت حقبة قيادته لأثينا بصفته كبير خُطّابها وساستها، بين عامي 461 حتى 429 ق.م، باسم «عصر بريكليس»، وقد تشمل سنينًا من بداية الحروب الفارسية حتى القرن التالي. اقرأ المزيد على ويكيبيديا
