Ramessés VI foi o quinto faraó da XX dinastia egípcia que governou entre cerca de 1142 e 1135 a.C. O seu prenome foi Nebmaet-rá o que significa "Rá é senhor de Maat". Era filho de Ramessés III e tio do seu antecessor, Ramessés V, que teria afastado do poder e, segundo alguns egiptólogos, mantido em cativeiro. A sua hostilidade para com este também se manifestou no facto de ter usurpado o seu túmulo, localizado no Vale dos Reis (KV 9), que mandaria alargar. Como forma de legitimar o seu poder fez questão de inscrever o seu nome na lista de filhos de Ramessés III que estava gravada no templo funerário de Medinet Habu. Leia mais na Wikipédia
