David Scott
David Randolph Scott (San Antonio, 6 de junho de 1932) é um ex-oficial militar, piloto, piloto de teste e astronauta norte-americano que foi para o espaço três vezes e tornou-se em 1971 a sétima pessoa a pisar na superfície da Lua. Ele se formou na Academia Militar dos Estados Unidos em 1954 e entrou para a Força Aérea, servindo como piloto de caça na Europa. Scott cursou a Escola Experimental de Pilotos de Teste da Força Aérea em 1963 e passou a trabalhar como piloto de teste, alcançando a patente de coronel e acumulando mais de cinco mil horas de voo em diferentes aeronaves de última geração. Scott foi selecionado astronauta em 1963 como parte do Grupo 3 da NASA. Ele foi para o espaço pela primeira vez em março de 1966 junto com Neil Armstrong a bordo da Gemini VIII, com a missão precisando ser abortada depois de dez horas por problemas nos propulsores da capsula espacial.
