Ulrich "Uli" Edel (German pronunciation: [ˈʊli ˈeːdl̩] ; born 11 April 1947) is a German film and television director, best known for his work on films such as Christiane F., Last Exit to Brooklyn, Body of Evidence and The Baader Meinhof Complex. His Rasputin: Dark Servant of Destiny won a Golden Globe for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture made for TV. Alan Rickman in the title role won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Best Actor.
