Scott Philip Brown (born September 12, 1959) is an American diplomat, attorney, and politician who is running as a Republican in the 2026 United States Senate election in New Hampshire. He served as the United States ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa (2017–2020). He is a former United States senator from Massachusetts (2010–2013), and also was the 2014 Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire. Before his Senate tenure, Brown served as a member of the Massachusetts General Court, first in the State House of Representatives (1998–2004) and then in the State Senate (2004–2010).
