He is best known as the creator and showrunner of the Netflix animated comedy series BoJack Horseman (2014–2020), for which he received four Critics' Choice Television Awards and was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards. With Kate Purdy, he co-created the Amazon Prime Video animated series Undone (2019–2022).
