Pran Krishan Sikand (pronounced [pra:n]; 12 February 1920 – 12 July 2013), better known mononymously as Pran, was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi cinema. He was one of the most successful and respected actors in the history of Indian cinema; in a career spanning over six decades he was also one of the highest-paid actors of his time. Pran was in/famous for his villain roles, and a highly regarded character actor in Bollywood from the 1940s to the 1990s.
