Petar Metličić (born 25 December 1976) is a Croatian former handball player. He was captain of the Croatian national team from 2006 to 2009, after the departure of Slavko Goluža. He won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens as well as at the 2003 World Championship in Portugal. At club level he played in the top tier in Croatia, Spain, Slovenia and France.
