Kepler Laveran de Lima Ferreira OM (born 26 February 1983), known as Pepe (Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈpɛpi], European Portuguese: [ˈpɛpɨ]), is a former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Born in Brazil, he played for Portugal national team. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation and the greatest Portuguese defender of all time.
