Francisco Martín "Pako" Ayestarán Barandiarán (born 5 February 1963) is a Spanish football manager and coach. He is currently the assistant head coach at Premier League club Aston Villa. Ayestarán gained prominence as Rafael Benítez’s long-time assistant, playing a key role during successful spells at Valencia and Liverpool, where he contributed to winning two La Liga titles, the UEFA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. After parting ways with Benítez in 2007, he became a head coach in his own right, managing clubs in Mexico, Israel, Spain, and Portugal. Read more on Wikipedia
