Albert Theodor Otto Emmich (from 1912, von Emmich) (4 August 1848 – 22 December 1915) was a Prussian general who fought in the Franco-Prussian War and was a senior commander in World War I. He was the first recipient of the Pour le Mérite, Prussia's highest military honor, in World War I for his role in the Battle of Liège. Read more on Wikipedia
