Hendrik Johannes Nicasius "Nyck" de Vries (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈnɪɡ də ˈvris]; born 6 February 1995) is a Dutch racing driver, who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Toyota and in Formula E for Mahindra. In formula racing, De Vries competed in Formula One at 11 Grands Prix from 2022 to 2023, and won the 2020–21 Formula E World Championship with Mercedes. Born and raised in Uitwellingerga, De Vries began competitive kart racing aged nine. After a successful karting career—culminating in back-to-back victories at the direct-drive Karting World Championship in 2010 and 2011—De Vries graduated to junior formulae. Read more on Wikipedia
