Milka Planinc (née Malada; pronounced [mîːlka plǎnint͡s]; 21 November 1924 – 7 October 2010) was a Croatian communist politician who served as Prime Minister of Yugoslavia from 1982 to 1986. She was the first and only woman to hold this office. Planinc was also the first female head of government of a diplomatically recognized socialist state in Europe. Read more on Wikipedia
