Michael Andrew Gove, Baron Gove (; born Graeme Andrew Logan, 26 August 1967) is a British Conservative politician and journalist who held senior Cabinet roles for much of the 2010s and early 2020s. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Surrey Heath from 2005 to 2024, during which he twice returned to the backbenches. He was a prominent figure in the 2016 referendum on the United Kingdom's membership of the European Union (EU) and stood for the Conservative leadership on two occasions.
