Louis, Dauphin of France, Duke of Burgundy (6 August 1682 – 18 February 1712), was the eldest son of Louis, Grand Dauphin, and Maria Anna Victoria of Bavaria and grandson of the reigning French king, Louis XIV. He is commonly known as le Petit Dauphin to distinguish him from his father. When his father died in April 1711, the Duke of Burgundy became the official Dauphin of France. He never reigned, as he died in 1712 while his grandfather was still on the throne. Read more on Wikipedia

Louis, Duke of Burgundy, was the son of Philip the Bold, Duke of Burgundy and Margaret III, Countess of Flanders. Louis was first married to Margaret of Dampierre, who died in 1349. He then married Margaret of France, the daughter of King John II of France. Louis was the last duke of Burgundy from the House of Valois. He was killed at the Battle of Crécy in 1346.
