Lisa Perez Jackson (born February 8, 1962) is an American chemical engineer who served as the administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 2009 to 2013. She was the first African American to hold that position. In 2002, Jackson joined the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection as the assistant commissioner of compliance and enforcement and assistant commissioner for land use management. New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine appointed Jackson the state's commissioner of environmental protection in 2006. Read more on Wikipedia
