Justinian (Latin: Iustinianus, Greek: Ἰουστινιανός, after 525–582) was a Byzantine aristocrat and general, and a member of the ruling Justinian dynasty. As a soldier, he had a distinguished career in the Balkans and in the East against Sassanid Persia.
