Julio Salinas Fernández (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈxuljo saˈlinas feɾˈnandeθ]; born 11 September 1962) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played during the 1980s and 1990s. A tall, lanky centre-forward with skills, he was best remembered for his spell at Barcelona – having started his career with Athletic Bilbao – while he was also a prolific goalscorer for club and country.
