James Allan Ball (7 May 1903 – 2 July 1988) was a Canadian sprint runner who competed at the 1928 and 1932 Olympics. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay at both Games. Individually, he finished second in the 400 m in 1928 and was eliminated in the preliminaries in 1932. At the 1930 Empire Games he won a silver medal with the Canadian team in the 4×440 yards relay.
