Jean (or Janet or Jehannot) Clouet (c. 1485 – 1540/1541) was a painter, draughtsman and miniaturist from the Burgundian Netherlands whose known active work period took place in France. He was court painter to French king Francis I. Together with his son François Clouet he is counted among the leading 16th century portrait painters working in France.
