Jean-Pierre Wimille (French pronunciation: [ʒɑ̃pjɛʁ vimil]; 26 February 1908 – 28 January 1949) was a French racing driver and a member of the French Resistance during World War II. He was a two-time victor of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, winning in 1937 and 1939. He is generally regarded as one of the best French drivers of his era. Read more on Wikipedia
