Israel Tal (13 de setembro de 1924 - Rehovot, 8 de setembro de 2010) foi um general do Exército israelense (Tsahal) conhecido por seu conhecimento da guerra blindada e por ser o pai do projeto do tanque Merkava (junto com o engenheiro Israel Tilan).
