Hyeonjong (Korean: 현종; Hanja: 顯宗; 14 March 1641 – 17 September 1674), personal name Yi Yeon (이연; 李棩), was the 18th monarch of the Joseon of Korea. His reign was mostly marked by heavy conflict among the nation's political factions on various issues, particularly on funeral rites.
