Hakuhō Shō (Japanese: 白鵬 翔; born 11 March 1985 as Mönkhbatyn Davaajargal (Mongolian: Мөнхбатын Даваажаргал; IPA: [mөnxpatʰin taw̜aːt͡ʃargaɮ])) is a Mongolian-born Japanese former professional sumo wrestler (rikishi) from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Making his debut in March 2001, he reached the top makuuchi division in May 2004. In May 2007 at age 22, he became the second native of Mongolia, the fourth non-Japanese, and 69th overall rikishi to be promoted to the highest rank in sumo, yokozuna. With a record 45 total championships (yūshō) at the top makuuchi division, he is widely considered to be the greatest sumo wrestler of all time. Read more on Wikipedia
