Guillaume Tirel (French pronunciation: [ɡijom tiʁɛl]), known as Taillevent ([tajvɑ̃], "wind-cutter" i.e. an idle swaggerer) (born ca. 1310 in Pont-Audemer – 1395), was an important figure in the early history of French cuisine.
