Fernando Harry Álvez Mosquera (born September 4, 1959 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan former footballer who played as a goalkeeper for the Uruguay national team and several clubs in Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina. Álvez obtained 40 caps for the Uruguay national team. Having made his debut on July 18, 1980 in a friendly against Peru (0-0), Álvez was a member of the 1986 and 1990 FIFA World Cup teams.
