Cenk Kadir Uygur ( jenk kə-DEER YOO-gər; Turkish: [ˈdʒeɲc kaˈdiɾ ˈujɡuɾ]; born March 21, 1970) is a Turkish-American political commentator, media host, and attorney. He is the co-creator of The Young Turks, a progressive and left-wing populist sociopolitical news and commentary program. In 1996, Uygur worked briefly as an associate attorney.
