William Thomas Ward (born 5 May 1948) is an English drummer. He was the original drummer for Black Sabbath, co-founding the rock band in 1968 alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. Ward originally left the band after the recording of Heaven and Hell (1980), their first album with vocalist Ronnie James Dio, but has rejoined them intermittently since.
