Benjamin Luke Woodburn (born 15 October 1999) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for EFL League Two club Salford City and the Wales national team. A versatile player, Woodburn can be deployed as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder, left winger or forward. Woodburn joined the football academy of Liverpool when he was seven years old. Nearly a decade later, upon making his senior debut in 2016, he became the third-youngest player ever to play for the club and, in just his second appearance, broke Michael Owen's long-standing record to become Liverpool's youngest goalscorer.
