He was part of the 4 × 100 m relay team that won the bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea. Born in Cayon, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Adams showed early promise in track and field, excelling throughout his school years. After graduating from Cayon High School in 2005, he briefly attended The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in 2006 before relocating to Houston, Texas in 2007 to pursue his athletic career more seriously.
