Andrey Vassilyevich Prokofyev (Russian: Андрей Васильевич Прокофьев; 6 June 1959 – 19 June 1989) was a Soviet athlete, winner of a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m relay at the 1980 Summer Olympics. After retiring and working as a coach, he committed suicide by hanging in 1989. Read more on Wikipedia
