Herman Gorter (Wormerveer, 26 november 1864 – Sint-Joost-ten-Node, 15 september 1927) was een Nederlandse dichter en radencommunist. Ook was hij medeoprichter van de Sociaal-Democratische Partij, de latere CPN. Hij is vooral bekend geworden door zijn gedicht van epische lengte Mei (1889).
